Klaus Ehrlich is the Secretary General of the European Federation of Rural Tourism. He has studied Economics - Business Administration at the University of Siegen (Germany) and Sevilla (Spain) from 1976-1983. Co-founder and manager of several entrepreneur associations related with rural tourism in Spain (RAAR, AHRA) from 1991 until 2006. Since 2002 he has been responsible for the management of the European Federation of Rural Tourism. Involved in working groups and consultative bodies at the European Commission related with tourism, rural development, and digital economy. Coordinator of the Pact for Skills Tourism LSP, member of the expert group of the Transition Pathway for Tourism – T4T of the European Commission. Independent work in consultancy and training at vocational and academic institutions.

Theodor Grassos serves as Secretary General of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), leading the Pact for Skills for Tourism initiative, which is dedicated to upskilling and reskilling adults across the tourism industry. With a strong academic background in social sciences, he plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation within the tourism sector through high-quality education and strategic international partnerships. As a member of the UNESCO-UNEVOC Working Group on Tourism under the BILT (Bridging Innovative Approaches in VET through Global Collaboration) project, he has successfully led numerous EU- and nationally funded initiatives, including his current leadership of TOUR-X—a flagship Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Tourism—where he advances innovative strategies to strengthen vocational training systems and boost the sector’s overall competitiveness.
